Mogadishu,(insidesomalia.org)- One of Yaqshid district sub-village commissioners was killed in Mogadishu on Wednesday residents said.

The man namely Abukar Abdulahi Osman was shot dead in his constituent village of Hegan, some residents said that he was heading to a mosque in the village at the time he was killed although it could be fully confirmed following a men armed with pistols shot him with three bullets as Yaqshid resident abridged his name Haji told local Media.

The killing of this man of Banadir administration comes as several Mogadishu district commissioners and also village commissioners were killed by armed groups links to the ousted Islamic courts union.

Over Nine district commissioners in Mogadishu were assassinated since the interim government took control of the capital a year ago following the Ethiopian forces drove the Union of Islamic Courts out of the country late December 2006 as The interim government and its Ethiopian military allies are facing a persistent insurgency in Mogadishu by remnants of Islamic courts movement they routed just over a year ago.
